Welcome

Important Information for upcoming 8th Grade Students:

As part of the RCSD 1:1 Initiative, each Florence Middle School 8th grader will be issued a Mac laptop starting with school year 2015-2016.  Parents and students MUST attend one of the training sessions on July 28.  The training sessions will be held at FMS.  A form to sign up for a time is attached below.  Before you attend one of the training sessions, you must register with InfoSnap. We encourage you pay the $50 fee as well.  However, on the day of your training session, we will provide the opportunity to update residency, pay the insurance and usage fee, and sign the parent approval form.    Each session is expected to take no more than one hour (this includes verifying information and the “Meet Your Mac” required training).  Please click below to sign up for a training session.

Each and every day, the faculty and staff at Florence Middle School strive to positively influence, both academically and socially,  the lives of your children. Our goal is to  prepare them to be productive individuals, both inside and outside of the classroom.  The behaviors and habits they begin in middle school carry over to their high school lives and beyond; so it is our desire to help them develop beneficial behaviors.

Our philosophy comes from former Indianapolis Colts' coach Tony Dungy - "No excuses. No explanations. Whatever it takes!"   Our team of teachers and staff would like to recruit the parents and community to join us in doing whatever it takes to educate our students for success!
