Adult Education/GED

Free Adult Education and GED classes are offered throughout the county to anyone 17 years and older and not enrolled in any secondary school. These classes are self paced with one-on-one teacher help when needed. The purpose of these classes is to raise educational skills and prepare students to be successfull in passing the GED.

GED testing is offered at the Rankin County Learning Lab at 135 South College Street in Brandon. This is the only official GED testing

site in the county. (See Schedule)

A GED graduation ceremony is held each May for students who have earned their GED during the year.

This year 319 students earned their GED and 80 participated in our graduation ceremony held at Brandon High School in May.
