Welcome to BMS Venture!

     I look forward with enthusiasm to teaching your child.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to facilitate your child's learning through our Venture Program and will encourage him/her to strive for excellence.  Listed below are more specific goals of our program.

     1.  To develop research skills.

     2.  To improve writing abilities.

     3.  To initiate higher thinking skills.

     4.  To stimulate creativity.

     5.  To promote leadership qualities and enhance self-esteem.

     6.  To strengthen task commitment.

     7.  To foster and develop the individual interests of your child.

Mrs. Bass

I am a graduate of Ole Miss and Mississippi College and have taught for 26 years.  I have taught math, Career Discovery, and gifted education.  I absolutely love middle school children and most of my experience has been with this age group.   Teaching Venture students has been the highlight of my career and I am so thankful for the opportunity.

Class Rules

To insure that all students are in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, it is necessary to implement the following classroom rules:

1.  Respect self, teacher, and other classmates

2.  No inapproprate language allowed. 

3.  Follow directions.

4.  No talking while Mrs. Bass gives instructions.

5.  Use time wisely and do not distract others.
