This scholarship was established by the Foundation for Rankin County Public Schools in 2009. As the charitable organization of the Rankin County School District we want to help our students become successful in every way possible. This cash scholarship is intended to help students prepare for a successful future.
Scholarship Award Procedures
The Scholarship Committee of the Foundation will select the recipient with final approval given by the Board of Directors during the granting cycle. The Scholarship Committee will also notify those applicants who were not selected for this award. EIGHT $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. This application is due by Friday, March 8, 2019 SEND ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS TO: Foundation for Rankin County Public Schools, Inc., Attention: Sharon Patrick P.O. Box 1359, Brandon, MS, 39043.
The following criteria will be utilized when reviewing applications and selecting recipients:
- Must be a student in the Rankin County School District.
- Must be a senior.
- Must be involved in one or more high school sponsored activities and/or work at a part-time or full-time job while attending high school.
- Must have a demonstrated financial need.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Attach a copy of your student transcripts along with your ACT/SAT scores.
Include a resume listing work experience, school involvement, community service, etc.
Attach a typed 500 word essay describing “Why are you a good candidate to receive this award?”
