The Department of Accountability, Accreditation, and Assessment is dedicated to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the Rankin County School District.

Our team works collaboratively with district leaders, educators, and community stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making, rigorous compliance with state standards, and continuous professional growth.

Our Core Commitments

The Department of Accountability, Accreditation, and Assessment strives to:

• Ensure Testing Integrity & Data Accuracy: Guarantee that all testing requirements are met and data results are processed and reported correctly.
• Drive Instructional Impact: Partner directly with Curriculum and Intervention teams to transform assessment data into meaningful, target-driven classroom instruction.
• Support School Leadership: Provide expert guidance on state accountability models and oversee the implementation of the Mississippi Educator and Administrator Professional Growth System (PGS).
• Maintain MDE Compliance: Ensure the district meets all standards set forth by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) Office of Accreditation and the MDE Accountability Manual.
• Coordinate District Assessments: Oversee the logistical planning, security, and administration of all state- and federally-mandated standardized assessments.
• Govern District Policy: Lead the ongoing review and revision of Board Policy in coordination with district departments to ensure local governance reflects current state standards and operational best practices.
