2021 - 2022 Registration Information
Due to school closures and restrictions/social distancing guidelines set by RCSD officials due to COVID, registration for the current school year was held quite differently than practices in years passed. These guidelines greatly impacted cafeteria capacities - only allowing most sites to operate at 1/3 of their general enrollment. Consequently, we were saddened to learn we could not accept all students who were enrolled in Frontiers prior to school closures, despite traditional practices. In effort to adhere to district guidelines and make the registration process fair, spots for the current school year were filled from our Administrative Office on a first-come, first-serve basis - regardless of current attendance or prior enrollment. While this may not seem to be have been the most logical approach, the decision to alter registration for 2019-2020 was strictly the result of adhering to set district COVID guidelines and social distancing stipulations. We understand and, again, apologize for the inconvenience this caused many of our families.
As of today, March 29th, 2021, no determinations have been made regarding cafeteria capacities or how/if social distancing requirements for schools will effect cafeteria capacities/enrollment at each site for the 2021-2022 school year. We anticipate enrollment for the upcoming school year to remain limited, however, we hope the registration process will more closely align with traditional procedures - IF there are no closures or unexpected delays/guidelines from RCSD officials. As we all know, COVID stipulations have been everchanging.
As in years passed, Frontiers registration will be hosted in May, at each site from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Dates to be determined.) Registration will be open for families who are currently attending, first, for a period of time; then, all remaining spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Waiting lists will be maintained once a site/grade is full.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration is held annually as enrollment does NOT "rollover." Waiting lists also start anew each year and do not rollover.
Also, due to the mass confusion pre-mailed contracts and registration information caused last summer, we will NOT mail registration packets this year. Our handbook, Frequently Asked Questions, tuition, fees, and other program information can be found on our website. The completed Parent Contract, which is required at the time or registration, will be available at sites until all spots are filled. Parents will be encouraged to complete contracts in their vehicle as they will NOT be allowed to enter the cafeteria. Registration will be hosted at sites. Staff at each site will be able to assist parents with all aspects of registration.
