What Is Frontiers?

Kids having fun at Frontiers

Frontiers is the self-funded, tuition-based, after-school enrichment program serving K4 (where applicable) through sixth grade students enrolled in Rankin County School District (or whose chronological age is 12 as of September 1 of this year).  Operating in the school's cafeteria, students stay in their own school with their friends. Frontiers runs from dismissal time at each school until 6 p.m. daily. Frontiers operates on the school calendar and is, therefore, closed for all school holidays and summers. We are also closed for the reduced days in December and May.

Frontiers is a structured environment. Although scheduling may vary from site to site across the county, all Frontiers sites feature an afternoon snack, homework time, supervised play, and an extensive Enrichment Curriculum with a different thematic unit each week.

The primary goal of Frontiers is and has always been to provide a fun, friendly, family-like atmosphere in which children feel safe and secure. We take, very seriously, the trust that parents have shown by placing their children in Frontiers--many of them year after year.  We pledge to do our utmost to provide the best possible environment for students in our care. May you find that Frontiers is the perfect fit for your family's after-school care needs.
