How to View Career Opportunities and Apply for Rankin County School District Positions
Rankin County School District is currently accepting electronic applications. Employment opportunities are posted online for your review. From our employment opportunities tab, you are able to view positions by position category and location. You are also able to apply for future openings. All 28 Principals and District hiring managers use this platform to search, interview, and hire applicants.
Click apply now to activate the online application. You have the option to tag your application to all interested positions. This can be accomplished by simply checking all of the positions you are interested in on the Vacancies Desired page of the application. Certain positions require different applications pages to be complete. Once all required responses have been completed, you may submit your application. Your application responses are saved, which makes it easy to apply for additional positions at anytime.

What Happens Next?
Your application will be available for review upon completion. In order for your application to be considered, you must obtain all the required supporting documents: i.e.: references and verification of previous employment, etc.
We recommend reaching out to the administrator or hiring manager of the position you are applying for and expressing your interest directly.
The Interview/Selection Process
Principals/Supervisors will consider all applications; however, only selected applicants will be interviewed. If selected for an interview, it is our recommendation that you bring a copy of your resume and references. Selections are based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's references, interviews, experience, skills, and qualifications. The Principal/Supervisor will communicate a recommendation for filling the vacancy upon the completion of the interview process.
References
At least three references will be required to complete your application, and it is highly recommended that one of the three references is a current or most recent supervisor. An email address and phone number will be required for each reference.
Notification of Intent to Hire
Any offers of employment are contingent upon the approval of the Rankin County School District's Board of Education, successful background check, and completion of any prerequisite requirements for the position. Offer's of employment are valid for one week from the date of issuance.
Should you accept an offer, you will be contacted by a HR representative to schedule a background check, and if cleared, will be presented to the Board for approval. Upon Board approval, an employment contract will be issued in accordance with your certification status with MDE, our RCSD salary scale, any relevant supplements, and your verification of experience.
Application Renewal
Your application will be considered active for twelve months from the date of receipt. It is your responsibility to sign-in to the online application and update your status.
