Mississippi History Day State Contest
Puckett Attendance Center: Pierce Parker Project: Siege of Vicksburg

On April 22, 2023, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History hosted this year's Mississippi History Day State Contest at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson. This was the first time to have the state contest in person since 2019.

The Senior Individual First Place winner is Pierce Parker from Puckett Attendance Center for his project Siege of Vicksburg. Help cheer Pierce on as he advances to the national competition which will take place this June in College Park, Maryland.
