Reading Fair Winners

The Rankin County School District hosted the 2024 District Reading Fair Competition. Fifty school-level champions submitted reading fair projects across eight categories. In each of the eight categories, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were awarded. Today, at the board meeting, all district 1st place winners were recognized.

The district 1st place winners are:

Family Literary Fiction PreK-K: 1st Place - Freddchechkia Ficklin, Pelahatchie Elementary (Kindergarten)

Family Literary Fiction 1-2: 1st Place - Grayson Leonard, Richland Elementary (2nd grade)

Individual Literary Fiction 3-5: 1st Place - Collin Tolliver, Northshore Elementary (3rd grade)

Individual Informational NonFiction 3-5: 1st Place - Raygann Razor, NWRE (5th grade)

Individual Literary Fiction 6-8: 1st Place - John Warren McKay, Pisgah High School (7th grade)

Individual Informational NonFiction 6-8: 1st Place - Hannah Collins, Richland Upper Elementary (6th grade)

Individual Literary Fiction 9-12: 1st Place - Alex Holeman, Pisgah High School (11th grade)
