Spelling Bee Champions!

We are so proud of our RCSD students who shined at the 2026 Rankin County Scripps Spelling Bee! On January 16, students from across the county in grades 3–8 competed, and all three top spots went to our amazing RCSD spellers:

Winner: Brynn Stingley – 6th grade, McLaurin Elementary
Runner-Up: Malachi Jackson – 6th grade, Richland Upper Elementary
Finalist: Zoya Allahi – 8th grade, Northwest Rankin Middle

All three students competed in the MS Scripps Online Semi-Final Round on February 18 and are advancing to the MS Scripps State Competition on March 27–28! We can’t wait to cheer them on as they represent RCSD with excellence and determination.
